Review:
Ruby Red is the first book in the Ruby Red Trilogy by Kerstin Gier.
This book talks about Gwyneth Sheperd a common girl from London that always has been put aside by the major part of her family, since her sophisticated cousin Charlotte has been training to travel trough time her whole life.
Surprisingly is Gwyneth who turns out with the ability to travel trough time, discovering the lies around her birth, the story of the world and her new time-travelling partner, Gideon, Gwyneth has to rise to the ocasion and surpass everyones expectations.
In a wonderfully well written book, Kesrtin Gier takes trough  a time travelling adventure in which we can admire the cultural differences between centuries and how it would be for us (21st century humans) to adapt to the centuries that took place before ours, providing a realistic view on the technological evolution.
Gwyneth is one of the best characters that I've ever read about because she's simple but, at the same time, she's really complex, also being a passionate and intelligent young woman.
This story is very light, happy and has plenty humour in it, if you read it be atemptive at the Gwyneth\Gideon dialogues, it's the perfect book to read while on a tight schedule!
I recommend this book to everyone who has a soft spot for time-travelling and to everyone else, because this work of fiction is truly remarkable.

Beautiful Childrens Books Covers

Heil to you all! Today I'm going to talk about some fantastic book covers from some children books that I read while I was little.
A disclaimer: almost all this books were written by Madonna. Yes, I'm talking about the singer, that Madonna.

  • Lotsa De Gasha (Madonna)

  •  Mr. Peabody's Apples (Madonna)

  •  The English Roses: Too Good To Be True (Madonna)

  •  The Adventures of Abdi (Madonna)

  •  The English Roses (Madonna)

  • Yakov and the Seven Thieves (Madonna)

  •  Fairy Dust and the Quest for the Egg (Gail Carson Levine and David Christina)

All these books have amazingly breath taking covers and are also some of my favourite book (in this style).
Besides having wonderful covers they also have an interesting plot for kids!
Love you all and have a very nice day!

We have a Jace !

So if you don't know already The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare is being adapted as a tv show that will be named " The Shadowhunters".
Monday, it was announced that an actor was chosen to play Jace's role on the show! That actor is Dominic Sherwood, Don't know him? Do you ever saw the Vampire Academy's movie? Do you remember the hot guy who played Christian Ozera? That's him!

You might also remember him from Taylor Swift's music video style. You don't? Here's a little reminder:

I really love the movie cast but, as Cassie said, it's not possible to have them on the show so if the cast continues like this maybe I'll see it when it comes out.

But when the reason behind Claire’s unusual powers is revealed and the threat to her life becomes clear, how far will Alec go to protect her?(via: Goodreads)
Review:
Forbidden is an YA paranormal novel in which we can witness Claire Brennan's discovery of her own amazing nature.
At first, Claire is a silly normal girl that has moved a lot trough the years and wants to find seeks stability in her life.
On the first day of school she meets a exchange student, from Scotland, called Alec. Alec is a strange guy and Claire doesn't know what to think of her attraction for him.
Claire starts having visions and has to keep them a secret, what she doesn't know is that Alec has some secrets of his own, and those secrets should keep him away from her.
This book talks about typical teenage life like hiding secrets from parents, having trouble with friends and struggling to overcome some complicated teachers at school but all that jazz while Claire discover who she is as a supernatural being.
Love and self discovery are key themes in this book but Claire doesn't only discovers herself as a nephilim but she discovers a whole new world, the world of angels, and in that world she discovers who Alec really is.
Loving Alec proves that wether you are human, angel or part angel love is always the most powerful force in the whole world.
In my humble opinion I just think that Claire and Alec are like the perfect contraparts of each other. He has a dark past with awful actions and she is a sweet innocent girl who is just now discovering the true meaning of love and fear.
In the end I think that those who love paranormal fiction, expecially about angels, will love this book and even if you don't usually read this style I think you should try to read this book, since it's very easy going and balanced in terms of action and deep plot.
I would love to see a sequel of this book, since it ends with a humongous cliff hanger, so please authors, if you're reading this, please write a sequel.

Hi Guys!!!!
Soooooooooooo.... today I'm going to list ALL of my Phillipa Gregory book's!
I know this might seem like a very odd post but I'm completely obsessed with this amazing author.
I read my first Phillipa Gregory's book when I was 8 and I couldn't stop since then and because of that I own nearly all of Philipa's books that are published in Portugal.
Hopefully, with this post you'll be able to get to know new books and maybe you'll want to read them!
So I'll start the list:

  • The White Queen
  • The Red Queen
  •  The Lady of The Rivers
  •  The Kingmaker's Daughter
  • The White Princess
  • The Other Queen
  • The Queen's Fool
  • The Boleyn Inheritance
  • A Respectable Trade

March Book Haul

Hi guys! So today (as the title says) I'm going to post my March book haul!!!
First let me state that I'm not bragging in any way about the thigns I can have and I don't mean to offend anyone.
This Book Haul contains some books that I've got since January!

The first book I got was "The White Princess" by Philippa Gregory.
This book came out about an year ago but it was only published in portuguese (I live in Portugal) last September and it's kind of an expensive book, it costs 17,96€ (with a discount) so I was saving money to buy it until my parents offered it to me!

"Percy Jackson and The Lightening Thief" by Rick Riordan  is the next book I got! I was always curious about this giant series ( there are like 11 books about Percy and his journey) and it was totally worth it, this book is awesome!

"Throne of Glass" by Sara J. Maas, was next!
I had already rad the ebook but this book took my heart away so magically that I bought it and I'm currently reading it again (therefore the bookmark)!

"City of Glass" and "City of Fallen Angels" by Cassandra Clare were the last books I bought.
I already read them but they are part of one of my favourite series and I'm  buying Clare's books slowly.

I love you all and hope you are having a great week! Love, Ana
P.S.; Here are some flowers of my garden tho cheer you up!
